This is a Very Good Copy of this book in Publisher's original cream cloth with a beautiful gilt design of a cat stamped to the upper cover,and with the title lettered in gilt underneath.With original light brown floral endpapers.This copy contains one former owner's inscription to the ffep dated 1847 the year of publication.All page edges are in gilt.The book has been decorated with 8 very attractive lithographs by J.W.Their is some sporadic foxing to certain leaves within the book.The book has a firm binding with no hinge weakness.The outer boards remain in great shape with just a touch of bumping to corners etc.One of the earliest children's titles to feature cats and very sought after by collectors.This is a genuinely rare item and it would make a great addition to any serious children's collection particularly as this copy is in such pleasing condition and remains in it's original cloth.Small 8vo 24pp First Edition.
