In this book Ruby Langford Ginibi travels back to where she was born and where her people – Bundjalung – live (northern New South Wales). She and her sisters were taken by her father from where she was born to stop the then white establishment policy of removing them from their families; and, this book recounts her travelling back to where she was born and meeting her extended family and reconnecting with her culture.
