Spline has a vertical crease and is significantly rubbed but gilt titles are still readable. Leather covers are rubbed and lightly worn at extremities. Hinge is cracked at half title page, binding is tight, pages are clean and unmarked. This much loved and used book contains a Foreword by Talcott Williams, a poem by Tennyson, a biographical preface by Michael Kearney, A poem by Edmund Gosse, and a short biography of Khayyam by Fitzgerald. Two editions of the Rubaiyat are included, the Fourth and First, followed by Fitzgerald's Notes. A handsome copy in solid condition. 12mo 7" - 7½" tall. 146 pages. A1. Very Good-.
