(c.1862) 18 numbered plates, several folding, a couple slightly trimmed by binder as often, 15 unnumbered plates, over 700 illustrations and figures in text, iv,592pp., all edges gilt, some occasional pale foxing, 4to., contemporary half brown calf, spine gilt in panels with black title label, cloth boards. ¶ An excellent description concentrating much more on technical aspects of the building itself, and its predecessors, and the machinery and technological parts of the Exhibition than on the art manufactures such as furniture, ceramics, etc.
