Each vol. with a folding coloured map of India mounted on linen, each vol. approx. 5-600pp., some foxing adjacent to maps in a few volumes otherwise clean and crisp, marbled endpapers and edges, 8vo., contemporary 1/2 brown morocco, gilt spine with raised bands, cloth boards. Gilt crest of a parliamentary library at spine base and on front board. No other markings external or internal. Volume 5 contents slightly wrinkled along top edge [from water but no staining] and back board discoloured along top edge, but generally an excellent set with bindings in nice condition. ¶ Entries vary from a few lines on smaller villages and geographical features to several pages on the districts and larger towns, describing their history, population, climate, antiquities, manufactures &c.
