In original red cloth boards, lettering in gilt to spine, decorative "Indian idols" in gilt to top board. Boards with notable wear, binding shaken, some gatherings near-separated. Spine toned to dark red, cloth soiled. Cloth beginning to split at hinges. Volume starting throughout; starting at front and rear hinges. Old scotch tape periodically used to reinforce gutters; now toned, often falling away leaving only toning. Folding map torn, laid-in at rear; same amateur repairs with clear tape at folds, now toned. "Arms of the Dominion and of the Provinces of Canada" leaf laid-in at half-title. With all blemishes duly noted, this remains a complete copy of this important work at an accessible price.
