 1541394762,
T. Bensley for Thomas Egerton and William Laing, 1795. half leather. 8vo. Wyntown was a medieval prior, who lived near the end of the 14th Century. This rhymed chronicle was first written in 1420-1424, but never before published. As most chroniclers before (and after) him, Wyntown spend a large part of the text on Creation, angels, the primeval giants and other such recurring themes, before coming to his history of Schotland. In this edition, all chapters that deal not directly with Scottish history are left out, although the chapter headings are given. Cond./Kwaliteit: Goed.
