- Proceedings of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia. Volume 50. 1898. [Complete].

Philadelphia, PA, The Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia, 1898-1899. In three parts. 8vo (25.0 x 15.4 cm). 539 [numbered 9-547], [iii] pp.; 25 lithographed or photographic plates and several text figures. Uniform printed wrapppers. The ANSP Proceedings were the foremost zoological journal in the U.S.A., being especially strong in Mollusca. This mainly due to Henry Pilsbry, the most prolific malacological writer ever, and his many predecessors, co-workers, and students. Malacological authors in this volume include Concklin, Dall, C. W. Johson, Letson, Pilsbry, Vanatta, and Woolman. Other subjects include botany, ornithology, ichthyology, herpetology, and bats, and at least three different authors describe rodents. Uncut; therefore wrappers a bit creased and chipped at edges. A good, complete volume. Very uncommon.
