A fine essay on the geology of this part of the south coast of Devon known, by the English geologist and palaeontologist Sir Henry Thomas de la Beche (1796-1855). Contains descriptions of different layers and their fossil contents (mainly molluscs). The geological profiles are detailed and nicely coloured. Published in the Society's Transactions. Uncut. A very good, clean copy.
