Paris, Librairie Illustrée, 1877-1894. 34 volumes in 34. Large 4to (31.5 x 22.5 cm). Numerous pages and text illustrations. Contemporary uniform half calf over pebbled boards. Spines with gilt lines and title. Marbled endpapers. A very good, uninterrupted set - from the start - of the first series up to and including volume 34. Well illustrated and nicely bound. Publication of the first series ended with volume 39 in 1897. Some shelf wear, some sections a bit toned, and apart from some occasional minor defects, e.g. a few spots, some wear to board edges, an excellent set.
