"Abbé" Jean Nicolas Boulay (1837-1905) was a French clergyman, botanist, palaeontologist and professor at the university of Lille. He was an authority of French mosses and fossil plants. The two smaller plates are "numbered" A and B, and are not mentioned in the title. A few pencilled annotations.
