Edition limited to 175 copies signed and printed by Richard Stanton Lambert, sm. 4to, pp. [2], viii, [4], 61; illustrated throughout with striking woodcuts by Elinor Lambert (several full-page); original linen- backed blue paper-covered boards, printed paper label on spine with another tipped in at back flyleaf, the spine spotted and darkening, covers smudged and darkening at edges, offsetting to flyleaves, but internally fine. Davies' (1569-1626) poetic justification for dancing, written while he read for the bar in 1594, was first published in 1596.
