Illustrated with photographs (slides) and photographs of installations, including work by Robert Barry, Lothar Baumgarten, Marcel Broodthaers, Jan Dibbets, Willie Doherty, Nan Goldin, Dan Graham, Louise Lawler, Ana Mendieta, Dennis Oppenheim, Robert Smithson, Krzysztof Wodiczko, and others.
