ACCONCI, VITO - [Seedbed] [1972 ephemera]

Galerie Ileana Sonnabend. 1972, First Edition. Card. Ephemera, Card announcing Vito Acconci show at Sonnabend New York, opening January 15 (no year stated, but refers to the January 15-29, 1972 exhibition, later known as "Seedbed", probably the artist's most notorious performance). 9" x 5" with strip of six photographs across the top, then, handwritten: "Behavior Fields-Transaction Arenas--/Training Grounds-Maneuver Positions--; then another strip (no pun) of six of the nude self-photographs. According to Acconci, the reason that "Seedbed" does not appear on the card is that he "didn't know" what the performance was going to be when the card was printed. Cool, in Fine condition. Fine/Issued Without Jacket.
