Center for the Arts/Buena Yerba Gardens. 1994, First Edition. Stiff Card Wraps. 40-page catalogue for an exhibition held at the Center for the Arts/Yerba Buena Gardens in SF June 23-August 28 and at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Rio October 6-November 19, 1994. Wonderful cross-fertilization idea for an exhibition curated by Anne Trueblood Brodzky and Marcus de Lontra Costa. The Brazilians include Beatriz Milhazes, Chico Cunha, Cristina Canale, Karin Lambrecht, Luiz Zerbini, and Victor Arruda. Of the others, there's one of my favorite neo-medievalists, William T. Wiley, whose work looks for all the world as if he'd painted it in Rio, as well as Oliver Jackson, Kim Anno, Larry Thomas, Violet Fields, and Leigh Hyams. All plates in color, plus a color Wiley to the cover; text in Spanish and English. Fine in stiff wraps as issued. Fine/Issued Without Jacket.
