In the original full cloth binding with gilt detail, with the publisher's clipped dust wrapper. A collection of seven short stories by Karen Blixen under the pseudonym of Isak Dinesen. Including popular stories such as, 'The Cardinal's First Tale', and, 'The Cloak', alongside unfinished works such as the projected novel, 'Albondocani&apos. Karen Blixen was a Danish author, best known for her autobiographical work Out of Africa. She was considered several times for the Nobel Prize in Literature. The half title page is present. In the original cloth binding. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the edges. Fading to the spine and upper boards. Very light offsetting to the paste-downs and free endpapers. The original, clipped dust wrapper is in very smart condition. Some shelf wear and chipping to the edges. Sunning to the spine. Light marks to the panels. Closed tear to the spine has been repaired with tape. Internally, binding slightly strained to the title page, but otherwise firmly bound. Pages lightly age-toned but very bright and clean.
