In the original Arabic.Undated, though due to the address of the Foyles sticker to the front paste down, 135 Charing Cross Road, it was likely published between 1906 to 1929. Foyles was based at 132 Charing Cross Road between those dates, moving to 119 Charing Cross Road in 1929.An Arabic 'Quran', the religious text of Islam.Not only is the Quran an incredibly significant religious text, but it is also considered to be one of the finest works of Arabic literature.Prior owner's pencil to the head of the title page, 'Jack Barkey&apos. In a full calf binding. Externally, worn, with a small amount of loss to the head and tail of the backstrip, and with a larger amount of loss and rubbing to the original folding binding to the fore edge. Minor discolouration and marks to the boards and spine. A little bumping and loss to the extremities. Foyles label to the front paste down. Hinges are starting but firm. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a little age toned and generally clean. A couple of pages towards to the end of the text are detaching. Edge wear and chips to the first and last few pages due to the paper type. Prior owner's pencil to the head of the title page. Good . Ill.: None. Good .
