The volumes are arranged alphabetically, with Volume III cover L-Q and volume IV completing the Gazetteer with R-Z. This geographical index was adapted to the poor-law, franchise, municipal and ecclesiastical arrangements, and complied with special reference to the lines of railroad and canal communication, as was true in 1845-6. With an appendix containing the results in detail of the census of 1841. These volumes are missing the maps. In full morocco binding. Externally, smart.
