Milano, Strocchi. 1935. Card, 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Decorated card covers with pictures to front and back, 28 photographs and plan inside. On the back of the photographs is a description in 4 languages - Italian, German, French and English. The second part is clearly dated to the 1930s with reference to Mussolini and the inauguration of a monument to Anita Garibaldi in 1932. The first part is not so easily dated but one of the descriptions of a picture and how a monument is far better seen now with the demolition of "dirty little streets" would also suggest the Mussolini era. Book 1 is sepia tinted and Book 2 is black and white. Photographs are generally very good with marks to a couple of dull photographs in Book 2. Good/ Very Good.
