The book is entirely in the Icelandic language and seems to bear, in part, on the history of the language & literature of Iceland (if not the printed word in Iceland), dealing more fully, perhaps, with what appears to be the Icelandic National Library. Names and dates extend to the 16th C. (Arngrimur Jonsson, 1568-1654) but, as the title suggests, the work largely deals with the 19th Century and the one hundred years of the Landsbokasafn Islands.
