The author (1729-1812) a lecturer from Leiden University gave with these volumes a thorough study on the development of cattle and its variations in Holland. Well illustrated,by very fine craftsman, this book was the major source book for over a century.This set was published as a set of " Natural History of Holland" and is as such incomplete, but these 6 Vols. are COMPLETE as the Natural history of the Het Rundvee (Cows/Cattle).
