Contemporary ink ownership stamp to endpaper. Very good.. Published under the Superintendence of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. First edition. Vol. II only - the 'Elephant' volume. A further two volumes on Menageries were published in 1829 and 1840, but this volume is complete in itself. Freeman 2129.
