Charles Francis Annesley Voysey [1857-1941], was a leading domestic architect of the early 20th century. But before he became established as an architect he created innovative and distinctive designs for frabrics, textiles, wallpapers, rugs and tapestry. The illustrations in this book cover a period of 40 years, beginning in 1887, including commercial and other designs. These 64 color plates are in print for the first time, presenting an absorbing study of Voysey's work. Also has a chronological outline; biography; list of surviving buildings; manufacturers and retailers; and a bibliography. Wondeful book full of amazing, fanciful, kalaidescopic colors, free flowing lines, and delightful designs. ; Color Illustrations; 8 1/4 x 11 3/4; 96 pages; Some edge wear, light rubbing/scuffing to cover. Minor,1" staining on bottom corner of cover thru page 24; does not interfere with the text. Bottom corner has some bumping; upper corner also has slight bumping and a mark from cover thru page 18, looks like a clip or such was on the book, which also shows on back cover, near upper corner.. Very Good+ .
