Is it an unlikely coincidence that young doctor Ellis happens to be discussing Moxton and his wife the moment his first ever patient rings the bell: Mrs Moxton to announce that her husband has been murdered? Coincidence schmoincidence, such things are beneath notice. Is it any more likely that characters in film and tv still - after years of mockery - always find a parking space right outside their destination?
