Liverpool, the author [1897?]. Octavo colour decorated wrapper; 83pp, 2 maps (one folding). Wrapper a bit dusty but a very good copy. ¶ First edition; an appealing book, not least for its Moorish wrapper design. This is a book written by a furrier not for the student but the 'wearers of Furs' who may want to know what animals end up in their wardrobes and how they get there. At the end he gives instructions for the care of furs at home with some useful tips including, "do not leave a fur unguarded in a room with a dog".
