This work contains four of the five text volumes for this massive monograph on the fossil marine mammals found in the Tertiary beds of the D'Anvers region of Belgium that leads into the North Sea. The contents of the parts offered here include: Part II: Ceteaces. Genres - Balaena et Balaeontus, (1880); Part III: Ceteaces. (Balenopteres.) Genres - Megaptera, Balaeonptera, Burtinopsis et Erpetocetus (1882); Part IV: Ceteaces. Genre - Plesiocetus (1885) and Part V: Ceteaces. Genres - Amphicetus, Heterocetus, Mesocetus, Idiocetus et Isocetus (1886). Only Part I: Ceteaces. Pinnipedes, ou Amphitheriens (1877) is missing from this five part set of text volumes. No ownership marks and no signs of use. These text volumes are seldom offered as a partial set outside of the whole work.
