London, Dean & Son, 1859. 252 x 172, 10" x 6½", cloth backed yellow boards with illus in black and orange, advert to lower cover, orange endpapers with Dean's adverts. 8 lively attractive hand-coloured movable pictures, operated by pulling tab at base of illus, text in prose below. Expertly restored copy, all paper engineering renewed and 1 large and 5 small moving parts replaced in colour facsimile, rat missing from stable scene. Few short closed edge tears neatly repaired, a little brown spotting to blanks. Board edges worn with a few tiny chips, corners worn with slight loss of surface paper, upper and lower covers slightly rubbed with loss of a few letters on lower cover. Decent working copy of a book which is very hard to find in undamaged condition. Images sent on request.
