Newport, RI, All Hands Abandon Ship, Publisher, 1971. Tabloid. Side folding tabloid newspaper. 12 pp. A few illustrations throughout. An underground newspaper issued by members of the US Navy, focusing on the rights of those in the military, anti-Vietnam War issues, politics, etc. The paper was published from 1970-1972, before merging with other New England area GI Press papers. Many articles from the Liberation News Service. This issue with a full page devoted to the riots at Travis Air Force Base in California. This includes discussing the extreme repression tactics used by military police and other police; the racial tensions that allegedly led up to the riots; the inequality in pay and treatment between Black and white members of the military, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate uneven toning. Minor wrinkling, creasing and edgewear. Good .

Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
