Single issue of this long running journal devoted to African-American news, culture and entertainment. Jet was noted for its documentation of the Civil Rights movement and the murder of Emmett Till. This issue with a piece on an article in Ebony that examines the rising population of African-Americans, the failure of the Civil Rights movement to provide sustained changes to racism and racist policies in the US and the evolution of the Black Power movement, including a statement from Black Panther Party leader Huey Newton; an article on the struggle of Black Americans to get jobs in the building trades and other labor issues, etc. Politics, sports and fashion also included. GOOD condition. Mailing label on the front cover. General toning, minor soiling, scuffing and wrinkling. Some scuffing, creasing and curling along the extremities and corners. Good .
