A descriptive and historical survey of the Chinese periodical press in the 1800s, examining indigenous newspaper and gazettes and the introduction of Western journalism and its reception and effects on indigenous papers. GOOD condition. Moderate to heavy toning and staining to the glassine, with minor soiling and wrinkling. Glassine scuffed along the extremities. Text block toned, with offsetting to the endpapers and remains of a bookstore label on the last endpaper. Good .

We charge a media ship rate of $4.50 for the first book plus $2.00 per each additional books. We ship internationally with the US post office. Shipping rates provided upon request based on the country of receipt. Wherever possible, we ship using first class international for $25.00, or the flat rate priority envelope through the US Post which costs $35.00. This is subject to change based on country being shipped to or size of book, so please contact to confirm rate.

Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
