A report commenting on Cherokee difficulties with regard to factions within the tribe and also in regard to interactions with the U.S. government. Referring to three parties in the tribe as 'old settlers,' 'treaty party,' and 'anti-treaty or Ross party,' the pamphlet discusses the power struggles within the Cherokee tribe residing west of Arkansas, including violence and retribution among tribe members. The pamphlet also discusses the question raised by John Ross as a representative of the Cherokee nation, as to whether the Cherokee nation has granted to it by treaty the right to 'establish and enjoy a government of their choice.' FAIR/GOOD condition. First leaf almost completely detached. Moderate browning to the paper. Moderate to heavy creasing along the edges, with minor chipping along the binding edge. Good .

Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
