Number 481 in the Library of Select Novels. 104 pp, plus 8 pages of ads in the rear. First four pages of the book also ads (for other books). A novel written by Craik, perhaps better known for her children's work. The Orlando Project (internet source for women writers of the British Isles) states that she " often features self-sufficient heroines more capable than the men they marry." POOR/FAIR condition, LACKING the rear wrap. Front wrapper DETACHED but present. Ring stain to the lower front wrap. Minor soiling and general fading. Wrapper chipped and split along the binding edge, with the lower half MISSING. Light curling at the corners. Previous owner's name stamped to the center front cover. Text solid with foxing to the upper fore edge. Poor .

Wherever possible, we ship using first class international for $25.00, or the flat rate priority envelope through the US Post which costs $35.00. Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
