An accounting of a party mired in Death Valley during December of 1849 after following a false map showing a short cut to the gold fields of California from Salt Lake City. In VERY GOOD+ condition. Light wear to the covers with some soiling/darkening to the rear cover. Faint imprint of a cup rim on front cover, although this is no water wear. Inner text clean and solid with a small tear to the last page, not affecting the text. Very Good.
