BROSSARD, Chandler - The Double ViewNew York, The Dial Press, 1960. Hardcover. Small 8vo. Black cloth spine with white lettering and striped paper over boards, dust jacket. 188pp. Near fine/very good. Mild jacket edgewear and bit of rubbing. A tight and nice first edition of the third novel by this American writer (1922-93) whose style critics often placed somewhere between Hemingway and Camus. Laid in is an unlined index card bearing pencilled notes about this title by academic and literary critic Joseph J. Waldmeir (1923-2013) -- presumably jottings for one of his many published book reviews. .
