A tight and attractive fourth printing, with interesting addition: Laid in are tear sheets of Gene Bluestein's article about this book from the Spring 1976 issue of "The Canadian Review of American studies" (pp. 66-76), the first page of which he boldly signs and inscribes: "For Joe, / Who doesn't / look Jewish / either / with love, / Gene." Recipient is Joseph J. Waldmeir (1923-2013), academic and literary critic. .
