Philadelphia, Lea Brothers & Co, 1885. Hardcover. Small 4to. Quarter black calf with gilt spine lettering and green marbled paper over boards. 24pp. Good. Though internally a tight and nice "Very good," there's a large chip at tail of spine, a couple of the calf corners are quite rough and the marbled paper is heavily rubbed; rear flyleaf an expert contemporary replacement. A tight and decent copy of this highly-regarded standard, begun in 1843 and continuing until 1905. Contributors to this issue include Austin Flint, Samuel W. Gross, A.B. Isham, William Osler and James Paget. .
