- Model Paper DollsAkron, The Saalfield Publishing Company, 1940. Paperback. Wide small 4to. Stiff red glazed pictorial wrappers. (4pp, rectos only). Numerous color illustrations. Very good. Front wrapper depicts one young man and young women in then-skimpy beachwear -- perforated for removal, though untouched; rear wrapper depicts one mutachioed young man with a polo saddle and polo mallet -- all also perforated, though none removed. The four leaves of garments intended to be cut out consist of formal wear, casual wear, etc. -- formal dresses, tuxedoes, hats, ties, cowboy duds, and so on. None have been cut out or removed, the sole flaw being the polo mallet on the rear wrapper, the handle portion (1") of which is absent. Remarkably clean, tight, untouched example. .
