Addressed to Ralph (likely Ralph G. Newman, 1912-2000, founder of Chicago's noted Abraham Lincoln Book Shop). Near fine. On personal letterhead, Cromie notes "I am honored to be asked to join the Stephen A. Douglas Association.. The Little Giant deserves continuing recognition." Signed simply "Alice" in black ballpoint. .
