Ownership signature on front flyleaf of Arthur Bruce Moss, an early 20th century pastor of Brooklyn's New York Avenue Methodist Church and author of "Women in Scripture," "Thomas Webb: A Founder of American Methodism" and other texts on the history of Methodism; also active in Methodist missionary work in India -- where no doubt he acquired this text.
