- Martha Wright in the Award Winning Musical the Sound of MusicNew York, Program Publishing Company, 1959. Paperback. 4to. Stiff glazed color pictorial wrappers. 20pp. Numerous illustrations. Very good. Bit of edgewear. Tight, nice early program for this production. Interestingly and amusing, the inner front wrapper photograph showing a seated Wright surrounded by authors Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse and composer and lyricist Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II is clearly NOT Wright! The photograph presumably depicted one of Wright's predecessors in the role, and Wright's head was simply superimposed onto this image when she assumed the Maria von Trapp role. .
