Pastor of New York's famed Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church (1863-91), this clergyman also sought reforms, founding the "Society for the Prevention of Crime." ANS, 1p, 5" X 8", University, NY, 1874 June 15. Addressed to W.R. Derbin. Very good. Minor mounting traces on verso. Begs off a solicitation. "I have no time to write a letter, as you desire.."
