Robert F. Kennedy's unexpired Senate term, upon his assassination, was completed by this New York Republican (1968-71), whose previous career in the House (1959-68) began with the death of an incumbent. Bold signature, dated 1970 March 16, on a heavy stock 5" X 3" card, n.p. [Washington, DC]. Very good. Neatly tipped to the left of Goodell's signature is a 1" X 2¼" book portrait of him.
