This small book was issued as a promotional piece by Hood's Sarsaparilla. Both of the poets in this book were very popular during the later 19th century. Sarah Doudney's poem was written when she was 15 years old, and it was reprinted widely. Adams poem is a humour take on "The Water Mill" done in the German dialect the characterizes much of Adams work. Fine.
