Professionally rebacked, retaining the original period boards, raised bands, blind stamp tooling within compartments, leather title labels, full marble edges. Both bindings in very good clean firm condition. Internally, previous owners bookplate, name in early hand on titles, small piece lacking from inner margin of 1 frontis. Light persistant water? staining throughout, having no affect on readability of text or engravings. Pages and plates in good clean condition throughout. A very nice set, in very attractive bindings.
