YEATES V. M - Winged Victory. [Second Impression thus.] BRIGHT, CLEAN COPY IN DUSTWRAPPER

Jonathan Cape,, [1961]. 8vo., Second Impression thus; blue cloth, backstrip lettered in silver, upper board lightly age-marked else a very good, bright, clean, crisp copy in price-clipped dustwrapper. One of the finest novels of WWI, Yeates's classic account of war in the air was prompted by Henry Williamson (to whom the work is dedicated) and completed with his continuing support and encouragement. First published in 1934 in two distinct impressions, it rapidly became practically unobtainable and was not reissued until 1961, for which later edition Williamson provided a preface and tribute. This is the second impression thus. Sadly Yeates died of tuberculosis in the year of first publication. UNCOMMON IN THIS CONDITION.
