R.W. Todd; The City of Winipeg; Jim Pask; Margaret Kennedy; East Kildonan-Transcona Community - On the East of the River: A History of the East Kildonan-Transcona Community

Winnipeg: City of Winnipeg, n.d., . Paper bound, edition not stated, illustrated, xxiv, 166pp. A good copy. 230 grams. From the introduction by R.W. Todd, Manager, East Kildonan/Transcona, Community Parks & Recreation: Through the resources and joint co-operation of the East Kildonan-Transcona Parks & Recreation Branch, local citizens, organizations and community groups, it gives me great pleasure to present this publication. Within the limits of existing resources, the publication will attempt to present varied aspects of local history. From the early 1800's to its present day, the publication is designed as an informative booklet of general history significant to our community. It is our desire to contribute to making our residents, visitors, and general public aware of local history and the importance it played in the development of Greater Winnipeg. We wish to acknowledge the late Miss Margaret Kennedy, a long-time resident of the community, through whose inspiration this publication evolved and in her memory we dedicate this book. A special thanks to the sub-committee on Parks & Recreation of the East Kildonan-transcona Community Committee who authorized the funding in support of the project and to Jim Park who co-authored, researched and made this publication a reality.
