A novel of "lusts and hate and calloused consciences" centering around the garment trade of New York City, then loosely centred around Seventh Avenue. This was the author's second book. It was later re-published under the title, "How Cheap Can You Get". Martin Abzug (1917-1986) was the husband of the well-known Congresswoman and feminist, Bella Abzug (1920-1998). They were married for forty-two years and despite all the characterizations of the Congresswoman as crusty, assertive and sometimes ascerbic, these are usually put in the minority by the positive characterizations of the marriage.
