?, ?. N.d. pp 1-117. Uncovered, spine sewn but paper taped which tattered and chipped, first leaf and last two leaves slightly chipped, otherwise clean and tight. Good+. 8vo/22cm. Apparently this is an excerpt from a scholarly journal or possibly part of a work titled Darbar-i-Akbari , the phrase which appears at the head of each page. Possibly it is an English translation of a part of Muhammad Husain Azad's Urdu work, Darbar-i-Akbari, ya'ni Jalal al-Din Akbar Badshah-i-Hindustan..published in Lahore, 1921. Muhammad Husain Azad (1834-1910) taught at Oriental College, Lahore. It is heavily footnoted. The origins and antecedents of this article or monograph are a bit of a mystery. Akbar, Emperor of Hindustan lived from 1542 to 1605.
