David Taylor (446) describes this a "A well established and reliable, if old fashioned, textbook.." but indicates there is little discussion of the social background. Educated in Bombay, London and New York, Mushtaq Ahmad (1919- ) was an editor of a Karachi newspaper at the time of printing.
