The Right Honorable Syed Ameer Ali (1849-1928) was descended from noted Persians but made his career in India and England. as a judge, lecturer and British official. He was one of the first leaders to recognize that Muslims should organize themselves if they were to have an honored place in Indian national life. He retired to Britain in 1904 where he became the Law Lord of the Privy Council. Copies of this lecture are scarce.
